Since I consider myself politically independent, a free thinker, and somewhat of an asshole I figured I'd make a list of what I believe.
I believe every law abiding citizen should be able to own as my firearms as they want as long as they haven't been deemed mentally unstable.
I believe every sane woman should carry a gun. Why, because they are physically weaker than men. That's a fact and rape whistles and thinking happy thoughts isn't the answer. The government may not trust you to have a gun but I do. Go get one , ladies.
I believe mothers should be home with their kids form the time they are born until they are old enough for school. Some $9.00 an hour day care worker does not give a shit if your kid is raised well. Is it financially harder? Fuck yes. Will your kids be better for it? Of fucking course.
I believe Federal taxes are fucking illegal. Period. Everyone should stop paying them. They won't, but they should.
I believe IRS should absolutely, positively NOT be armed.
I believe Bush is fucking liar. Shamefully, I voted for him twice. Sorry.
I believe the NRA doesn't do nearly enough to further 2nd amendment causes. Where are the billboards? Where are the TV spots? Why do you have to dig for facts?
I believe both political parties are the same and nothing short of revolution will bring about a successful 3rd party.
I believe that if the USA continues on the path we are on our time is almost up. It would have been a good run. Too bad we're blowing it.
I believe my Grandfathers generation was the last of the truly great men.
I believe all soldiers are heroes.
I believe way too many kids are on Prozac and Riddlin. Some kids are hyper, folks. Deal with it. Some kids are depressed. Get to the bottom of it and deal with it. Nobody is happy all the fucking time.
I believe there are way too may adults on Prozac and whatever other shit. Grow the fuck up. Suck it up. Again, nobody is happy all of the fucking time. Being depressed is your mind's way of telling you something ain't right. Fix it asshole. Fucking babies.
I believe cows, chickens, fish, pigs, ostriches, turkeys and all manner of critter are meant to be grilled and eaten. That's why our eyes are on the front of our heads and we have incisors.
I believe you have to eat vegetables or the critters will stay inside your intestines and kill you.
I believe we need to conserve whats left of our natural resources, Duh.
I believe oil and coal companies are evil.
I believe cigarette companies are evil but by all means smoke em' up. I could care less.
I believe it's criminal for food companies to be deceptive about trans fat. If people want to eat it, go ahead. Kill yourself. I don't want to so be fucking honest on the fucking labels. Stop making serving sizes so ridiculously fucking small that you don't have to report the amount of trans fat. That's fucking lying.
I believe we need to do whatever necessary to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into this country. Whatever necessary.
I believe we need to do away with "anchor babies." Enough is enough.
I believe illegal immigrants should be turned away a hospitals. I know it's cruel. So is taking food out of my daughters mouth in the form of taxes that pay for free trips to the emergency room. I know, I'm a terrible person.
I believe we should make it easier for immigrants to come here legally. I like people from other countries. Really, I do but not when they are sucking off my hard fucking earned money.
I believe Iraq was a big fucking mistake and we should leave.
I believe Fenders are WAY better than Gibsons.
I believe S&W make damn fine pistols.
I believe its good to listen to Slayer AND Hank Williams.
I believe all 12 year Scotch Whiskey tastes pretty fucking good to me.
I believe there is a time and a place for cheap beer.
I believe most people are full of shit and can't be trusted.
I believe current gun laws should be enforced to their fullest extent but no more new ones.
I believe Metallica hasn't made a decent album since Master of Puppets.
I believe a woman should be able to have an abortion within the first month of pregnancy if she chooses to do so. After that, it's murder.
I believe I am a better guitarist than you.
I believe you should be able to grow whatever the fuck you want on your own property for your own use whether it's rhubarb, marijuana, mushrooms, carrots, poppies, or turnip.
I believe crystal meth is a really fucking big problem.
I believe the war on drugs is horse shit.
I believe recreational drugs should be legal for adult use.
I believe selling drugs to children should result in life in prison.
I believe murderers found guilty should be executed immediately.
I believe rape and child molestation should be punishable by death.
I believe everyone should try acid once. Not that I have.
I believe Eric Clapton is a ridiculously over rated guitarist.
I believe SRV did Hendrix songs better than Hendrix.
I believe women are hotter than girls.
I believe the driving age should be 18.
I believe parents need to stop thinking it's still about them and grow up.
I believe I fart around on the internet too much.
I believe my wife kicks ass.
I believe my kid is smarter and cuter than your kid.
I believe blued looks better than stainless.
I believe tattoos are cool.
I believe piercings are silly.
I believe family is super important.
I believe I should have written down my Gramp's WWII stories.
I believe Massachusetts is completely fucked.
I believe New Hampshire will be completely fucked by the time I move there.
I believe all schools should offer music programs.
I believe your kids needs to stand the fuck up and say he Pledge of Allegiance in school. He's too young and stupid to have any real opinions yet.
I believe spanking your kid for the right reason is nobody else's fucking business.
I believe my wife will have to spank my daughter when the time comes because I can't do it.
I believe you should buy your kid any instrument they want to play. You can always sell it on Craigslist if it doesn't work out.
I believe if you don't put a reasonable distance between yourself and your parents you will go insane.
I believe if you don't stereotype you are being foolish. People can earn your trust later.
I believe everyone is at least a little bit racist. Everyone.
I believe gangsta rap culture is really bad for kids.
I believe you should be able to listen whatever the fuck you want if you are an adult.
I believe you should be able to say whatever the fuck you want.
I believe I want my old 72 Pontiac Lemans back.
I'm believe you should say ma'am and sir.
I believe you should drink with your parents.
I believe alcohol is a HELL of a lot more dangerous and harmful than marijuana.
I believe Harpoon IPA makes me happy.
Politics, guns, my home town and surrounding areas, loathing, and the observations of a very grumpy white male living in a suburb of Boston. "Lynn, Lynn, city of sin. You never come out the way you went in. Ask for water, they give you a gin... it's the darndest city I ever been in."

I'm back.
Wow. After almost 2 years of 80 hour weeks I finally have my life back. My politics have changed quite a bit over the last 2 years. I trust the g0overnment a LOT less than I used to. I'm a a loss for anything right now. My biggest concern right now is whether to buy Sierra Nevada Barley Wine or good old Harpoon IPA's on the way home.

Immigration blah blah blah....
That asshat Bush lost me and most of my conservative friends months ago. (That absolutely does not mean I'm a Democrat, wish Kerry had won, or would ever consider voting for a Democrat, so settle down.) The Republicans have successfully convinced me to never vote for them again. I'll vote third party, I'll write in Buchannon, or I'll make a conscious decision not to vote. Thanks for bending me over the toilet and ramming it up my ass Republicans.
Anyway, I've got a guy working for me who loved Bush like I love single malt. Late 50's veteran of the Korean war ("I was holding back the yellow hoard before you were even a twinkle in your father's eye...") who has defended EVERYTHING Bush has done since he was elected. True dittohead who takes Limbaughs word as if it came down from God himself. He has had a picture of Bush hanging in his living room until this past weekend. He took it down. He gave up on Bush. If Bush managed to lose this guy...

Finally!!!!

Thanks to a little haggling with the boys at Collectors Coin Gallery and the fact that there was absolutely nothing at the Wilmington Shriners gun show I am now the proud owner of my favorite gun of all time, a 1911. A Smith 1911 to be exact which brings me up to 5 S&W's. Hurray for me!
I've already ordered a set of ultrathin cocbolo grips and a SWEET holster from K&D. (Eagle Defender in burgundy with thumb break and my initials!)

No Words.
I while ago I ranted about the parents of Poppy Zegger-Murphy having trouble with their visas. Today I found this...
I'm so sorry for their loss. I can't even imagine. I can't wait to go home and see my daughter.

POPPY ZEGGER-MURPHY
I regret to tell you that little Poppy passed away peacefully last week. Please pray for parents and grandparents. It must be heartbreaking when everything was going so well. The parents sent me an e-mail thanking the parishioners of Hornchurch for all their wonderful support which was greatly appreciated. At least she is a little angel in heaven.
I'm so sorry for their loss. I can't even imagine. I can't wait to go home and see my daughter.

More Natural Selection
Police shoot teen in school standoff.
I'm totally ok with this.
Oh well.
Good decision.
Nice shootin'!
How about plain old crazy? How about shitty parents? How about crazy and shitty parents?
Sounds like he was fine young lad. Little punk ass.
I'm really glad that this little peice of shit took a bullet. I hope the officer is taking it OK because he absolutely did the right thing. Fuck this kid. Who knows what kind of shit he would have pulled as he got older. Nice fucking parenting folks.
I'm totally ok with this.
LONGWOOD -- A Milwee Middle School eighth-grader, who last year threatened to blow up a school bus, showed up for class Friday with a pistol in his backpack.
However, classmates of Chris Penley, 15, didn't know it was a pellet gun.
Oh well.
Neither did a veteran Seminole County deputy sheriff, who made a split-second decision to open fire when Chris pointed the weapon at him.
Good decision.
The deputy's single shot gravely wounded the boy, who was on life support Friday at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Nice shootin'!
While investigators were trying to figure out what prompted the boy's actions, classmates said a dispute over a girl might have led to the tragedy.
How about plain old crazy? How about shitty parents? How about crazy and shitty parents?
Chris told a student at breakfast in the cafeteria that he was going to beat up another boy and then was spotted carrying a gun in his backpack, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Quincy Cop Loses Gun
Heh. Wow, Quincy of all places. Where the civilians shall not be issued a carry permit. (I know, I know, cops are civilians but we all know they don't fancy themselves civilian.) Of course, the offending officer's license won't be revoked. Check it out here. Bruce at mASS BACKWARDS is going to have a field day with this. (I hope.)

Not Veterans Day though.

Faded Glory.
So, my buddy and I got into a discussion about Wal-Mart the other day. "They're bad, they're not that bad...blah blah blah." I won't bore you with it.
This morning, while I was in the head taking a Kennedy, since my pants were around my ankles I decided to take a look at the tags on my $10 Wal-Mart jeans. (Get off my balls, I'm on a budget and I need pants for work. Well, do I? Yeah I do.)
After I little searching, I found that my jeans are made in Pakistan. Hmmmm. OK.
Then, I looked at the back tag. "Faded Glory. The way America lives"
You gotta' be kidding me. Is that a joke. Pakistanis must be pissing themselves while the sew these things up. Faded Glory? Jeez. Was there already a trade mark on "Fallen Empire?" How about "Former Superpower."

King Edward I You scored 66 Wisdom, 73 Tactics, 52 Guts, and 51 Ruthlessness! |
Or rather, King Edward the Longshanks if you've seen Braveheart. You, like Edward, are incredibly smart and shrewd, but you win at any costs.... William Wallace died at his hands after a fierce Scottish rebellion against his reign. Despite his reputation though, Longshanks had the best interests of his people at heart. But God help you if you got on his bad side. |

The Gun from Ipanema
Yeow!
Brazilians vote to keep there guns.
One man shot dead by opponent of ban during a debate
No that's how you debate an issue! I'd like to see Ted Kennedy involved in a similar means of debate.
More than two thirds of Brazilians vote against banning firearms
I sometimes doubt we could do so well.
If you take guns away from people and leave them only in the hands of criminals, what will happen?" - Yome, 80, opponent of the ban
No shit? They get it in Brazil? They don't get it in Boston. No shit.
I have to say I'm impressed.

Fourth Place!
Hurray! At least we excel at something! The Lynn Item reports this.
City ranks fourth in violent crimes
Do we get a trophy?
An annual crime statistics report released by the FBI this week indicates that there were 990 violent crimes reported in the city in 2004, which translates into about one violent crime for every 90 residents.
The statistics put Lynn right below Springfield, Boston and Fall River, respectively, in a class of cities with the highest crimes rates in the state.
Compared to Lynn's 1-in-90 ratio, Springfield had one crime committed for every 54 residents - making it the city with the highest rate of violent crimes in the state. Boston and Fall River both had one crime committed for every 83 residents
But we're working on it.
While the numbers represent a slight increase in the crime rate from the previous year in Lynn, Police Chief John Suslak responded to the FBI's report by defending the department's recent crackdown on gang violence and efforts to revive the former days of community policing.
No offense chief, but I drive by these gang bangers just about every other day. they ain't hard to find. Do something.
"(The numbers) are higher than we'd like to see," Suslak said. "Unfortunately, a lot of the violent crimes are part of the gang environment. It's not like this is occurring randomly."
So...
Clancy said while the gang presence of the city concerns him, he doesn't believe the average person is affected or at-risk of violence.
Dope.

ommmmmm.
I'm not reading the news, listening to talk radio, or reading blogs for a week to see if it makes me a happier person. The fact that I am absolutely steaming and it's only 9:56 AM Monday morning is the reason why. blah blah blah. blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.
For now, heres 2 guys drinking in a boat. On dry land. In a garage. Everett style.

Poppy Zegger-Murphy

This makes me so fucking mad I could cry. In fact I did a little. With all the fucking filth we let stream over our borders we are busting this poor couples balls?!?!?!? This is where we choose to be firm on our policies? ALL THEY WANT IS A FUCKING GREEN CARD SO THEY CAN WORK TO PAY THE MEDICAL BILLS NECESSARY TO SAVE THEIR DAUGHTER'S LIFE WHILE STAYING CLOSE TO THEIR DAUGHTER!!! THEY DON"T WANT A HANDOUT!
There is more info here.
I'll update this later. I'm too fucking distraught right now.
More here.
"We would like to get the green card so that we can support ourselves. We're trying to do the right thing. We don't want to be a burden on society," says Zegger-Murphy.
"Anyone wishing to donate towards care costs for Poppy is asked to send money to: Natwest Bank, 121 High St, Oxford, OX1 4DD, Sort Code: 60-70-03, Account Number 50086405.
Alternatively, people can send cheques made payable to Chris or Philomena Zegger-Murphy, C/O 16 Florence Street, Hucknall, Nottingham NG15 6EB."
That's the only address I can find so far. I'd feel better about a US contact address. If I find one I'll post it.
Update.
A little more here.
Update.
